Left-Center Sources

Left-center sources, while they contain factual information, they are filled with loaded words. "Loaded words are words that attempt to influence an audience by appealing to emotion or stereotypes" (Left-Center Bias, 2022). These loaded words favor liberal causes, and these sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias (Left-Center Bias, 2022). Left-center sources usually use words that favor the left. Although these sources typically contain factual information, it is always important to further investigate them.

Below are sources that are considered to be left-center biased sources by Media Bias Fact Check:

  • ABC News

  1. This is an interesting article that I have never thought of in this way. I think it is important for people on both sides of the political spectrum to read articles from opposing views because this allows for a more well rounded opinion, rather than blindly following something because thats what everyone else is doing.

  2. I really liked this blog post as it points out something I have been feeling for a while now. Left leaning sources seem to be a dominant force in our modern society of mass media outlets. This blog post really pushes for the idea of everyone to read multiple sources and topics they don’t know much about because bias is almost fundamentally unavoidable in the modern time. Thank you for this post, because I have almost forgotten to read different political perspectives and I am now going to try and do that in the future!
